HERE IS THE LATEST FROM GARY AND CAROLE GRANAT:
Happy New Year to all you Monaco Americans.
We certainly hope that everyone had a joyous Christmas and are off to a wonderful start for 2010.
Time, as always, is flying by and by golly we are rapidly approaching our trip to Hutchinson, Kansas for Monaco America’s Spring 2010 Rally. And we expect this rally to be as good and as fun as any rally we’ve had. Please plan to join your many Monaco America friends in the great state of Kansas. Some folks say, “What the heck is there to do in Kansas except see fields of wheat”. Let me tell you, Hutchinson and the surrounding area has tons of great and fun things to do and see. Here are just a few:
· The Kansas Underground Salt Museum; at 650 ft below the surface, it’s the only museum of its kind in the western hemisphere.
· The Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center; a great attraction and with its new “Mollett Early Spaceflight Gallery”.
· Their newest public golf course; Cottonwood Hills was designed by gofer Nick Faldo. There are, also, many other public courses in the area.
· Just in case you can’t get enough to eat at the rally, Hutchison has many terrific eating facilities.
· There are numerous antique and specialty shops.
· The Hutchinson Zoo, Hendrick’s Exotic Animal Farm and even water parks for our more adventurous members.
At the rally itself, we already have many exciting events scheduled, such as:
· The ever popular Monaco America Ladies’ Tea, to be hosted by Joyce Osmus and Judy Wagner.
· A digital photography seminar by Bob Allen.
· Craft Sessions; Glenda Moffett will teach Swedish weaving, also know as huck weaving. Hopefully, we’ll have one or two other sessions. If anyone has a special craft they’d like to share, please contact me. I really could us some more ideas, Carole
· Ron and Kay Rivoli will be our entertainers, they are always so enjoyable and are quasi members of Monaco America, this in addition to being super nice people.
All said and done, we guarantee that you will truly enjoy your Hutchinson visit. Sooo how can you afford not to attend. If you haven’t done so, you will want to send your application to our Treasurer, Rick Stone now. If you don’t have an application, it’s available at our web site: www.monacoamerica.com
Remember, if situations arise, we have a very lenient cancellation policy, as stated on the Rally Application.
We hope to see you all in Kansas, The Kansas State Fairground is a terrific facility and really does have room for us all. We’ll leave the light on for you.
